Griswak Copper Copper "Horsetail"
Soft copper tubing with bronze braze.
Often refered to by viewers as "bamboo", these "Horsetail" reeds were originally designed as a fountainhead... water bubbling out the tops of every stalk... the elasticity of the falling water creates "ribbons" as it stretches between two stalks...
My Copper "Horsetail" is equally beautiful as a "dry" sculpture as well... (one of my considerations when designing a fountain is that when not being used as a fountain, the piece stands alone as a beautiful sculpture... rather than looking like a water founatin without water &/or not running).
Dimensions
Standard single "clusters" come with seven stalks (a mix of 3/8" & 1/4" diameter) ranging from 4 to 5 1/2 feet tall welded to a copper base.
Clusters can be modified to be used as fountainheads.
